Absolutely in awe of this magical woman who stepped in and learned our show in TWO DAYS, giving a flawless, thrilling, and hilarious debut performance this evening, taking over as Beverly Bass and Annette in #FordsCFA. Her grace, groundedness, professionalism and humor were inspiring during the crazily accelerated process (all while solo parenting the world‘s cutest five month old, though don’t worry, Dad is solo parenting older brother back in New York City) – and let me tell you, her “Me and the Sky” alone is worth splurging on a ticket. I’m filled with joy to get to play with her for the remainder of our run, filled with gratitude to Craig Carnelia’s musical theater class for introducing us, and as always, filled with adoration for the rest of our extraordinary company and team for making this such a smooth and delightful transition. I love going to work every day. If you can beg borrow or steal a ticket, come see @laurelnyc shine. #ActorLife #TalentedFriends #ComeFromAway @fordstheatre

Look at this incredible team that breathed life into my play The Last Jew On London, which spins A Christmas Carol into a meditation on assimilation, carrying on traditions, and the importance of loving yourself.

The @orlandoshakes company of Come From Away showed up big time for our CFA company here at @fordstheatre in DC. A few nights ago (Sept 11), just before we were about to perform this story in front of many who lived it, we received a gigantic box with personalized gifts from each actor to their counterpart; their Diane @lindsaynbradshaw sent me something, their Kevin T sent our Kevin T something, and so on. It gave us all an incredibly well-timed boost and made us feel super loved and supported. THANK YOU! We love you! It’s an honor to be a member of this CFA family alongside you!

(Also so impossibly cool to feel so much @otterbeintheatreanddance love from @katiewhetsell !)

If this production transferred as the official Broadway revival today, we would all be so lucky.

This Come From Away honors the original with small details that pack a big punch. This show is incredibly special to me, but when you see anything on repeat it's easy to lose some of that magic. Not this time! I cried even more than the first time I saw it (Ask me my favorite detail when the run ends).

From the design choices to the acting beats and the clear trust and care this company has for one another, this Come From Away is not to be missed - and it will sell out so finalize your plans now!

Come From Away at Ford’s Theatre is a beautiful musical about the planes diverted to Gander after the tragedies of 9/11. You may not know this, but 10 years ago, Ford’s Theatre put on this musical around the same time!!
Make sure to go see this amazing work by this incredibly talented company #theatre #musical #september11 #comefromaway

Twenty-five years later, September 11 is still a weird and difficult day. But I am exceedingly grateful to be part of this company of actors and watch them tell this story tonight. #ComeFromAway #FordsCFA #911 #September11 #musicaltheatre

The Chameleon, by Jenny Rachel Weiner, at Theater J — a play about antisemitism and what it means to own your identity and ancestry.

We were in tech, in a theater inside the Washington DC JCC, when October 7 happened, and the context of the play changed around us overnight.
