LIGHT WIND 470 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP IN CANNES!

Spain’s Jordi Xammar and Nora Brugman wrapped up a comprehensive win in the 470 European Championship, held at the idyllic location of Cannes in the French Riviera.

The pace was slow all week, with very light thermal breezes all that was on offer for the fleet of 46 mixed crews. It’s hard to find consistency in ight wind sailing, but the Spanish team completed a series with only one result outside the top six, winning the event by a margin of 16 points over silver medallists Diego Costa and Carolina Joao from Portugal, who won the medal race, leapfrogging Camille Lecointre and Jérémie Mion from France who had to settle for the bronze medal.

1/8 of #GranCanariaSSLGoldCup the final race in fleet 4 🙌🏻

With just 200 metres to go, Slovenia were leading the race, but France managed to hold them out on the right hand side of the course, pushing them to last while remarkably finishing first themselves, and grasping the final 1/4 Finals qualifying spot 👀
