Sofiia Sytnyk (@st.soofiia)
is a Ukrainian artist based in Berlin, working with sculptural ceramics.
Through an intuitive hand-building process, she combines familiar vessel forms, thorn-like structures and petal-like elements. Her practice explores the relationship between softness and tension, vulnerability and protection, creating expressive objects that exist between function and sculpture.

DINNER FOR THREE: ON THE REHEARSAL OF PERFECTION INSIDE

A photographic and video meditation by Fee (@feetasticcc), turning the dinner party into the ultimate image of staged togetherness, a table set for three that exists only to be looked at, and never used.

Working across photography and film, Fee reconstructs a mid-century domestic fantasy inside Konrad Tönz Bar in Berlin, treating beauty less as an image than as choreography, the gap between how a moment is lived and how it's arranged to be seen. Doll-like styling and SFX makeup recast the cast as exaggerated heirs to the flawless 1960s housewife; an almost imperceptible stiffness in their posture gives away the labour underneath. For this feature, we look inside: the styling rail, the makeup chair, the hand-thrown ceramics, everything the finished image leaves out.

A meditation on femininity, performance, and the discipline of appearing effortless.

Dinner for Three: A GATA Editorial

Dinner for Three is a photographic and video art project that explores the pursuit of perfection in contemporary life through a surreal reimagining of mid-century domesticity. Combining photography and moving image, the project examines how everyday moments are increasingly staged and curated through beauty rituals, carefully constructed appearances and the performative nature of today’s image-driven culture.

The series centres on the idea of “the perfect dinner”, an occasion pushed to the point of absurdity. Through meticulously controlled makeup and styling beauty becomes a performative act, carefully sculpted to a doll-like precision. Like exaggerated contemporary versions of the flawless 1960s housewife, the series blends a retro lust for nostalgia with a surreal and hyper-stylised aesthetic.

While the photos capture these constructed moments in uncanny stillness, the video art brings the discomfort screaming through in motion, gesture and repetition. An immersive visual world that reflects the emotional and psychological cost of constantly striving for perfection.
