Sometimes we have to remind ourselves of all God has blessed us with the ability to do. It will help us as we work on the things that need improvement.

The strength and will it took to get to the 80% will help you to get the 20% right.

“…But David found strength in the Lord his God.”
‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭30‬:‭6‬

Real ones grind together to make each other better! They challenge each other to become the best versions of themselves. Who you grind with matters!

#throwbackthursday Dunking in my 50’s is a later in life realization of a goal I had in my 20’s. I always wanted to dunk at 40.

Recently, one of my guys asked me what was dunking like in my 40’s, I found some old clips for him that me reminded me of why I chased this dream in the first place.

It was about achieving something that I believed I could. It wasn’t till my late 30’s that someone challenged me to go after that goal of dunking at 40. That pursuit taught me something I already knew but needed reminding of. I learned that we all are capable of great things if we believe, surround ourselves with those who believe in you and are willing to help you succeed. It’s what me #mentoring is all about.

In a few days I celebrate 30 years of mentoring as my call in life. Three decades of coming alongside people as they pursue their goals and call in life.

At 53, I just want to continue live as proof of what George Eliot said “It’s never too late to be what you might have been” and help others to do the same.

“You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭2‬:‭2‬ ‭
