✨ Officially Barre Certified ✨
I’m so happy to share that I’m now officially a certified Barre Pilates Instructor!
Another little milestone in my Pilates journey, alongside my Mat Pilates and Dynamic Strength certifications, and one I’m especially proud of.
This happy news arrived during one of the hardest times in my life, making it a milestone filled with both pride and emotion. I know my Mum would have been incredibly proud of me, and I like to think she’s still cheering me on from above 💜
I absolutely LOVE Barre. With my background in all forms of dance, there’s something about the combination of movement, music, strength and flow that feels really natural to me, and I’m excited to share that love of movement with others.
Barre is incredible for building strength, posture, balance, flexibility and endurance. The classes flow continuously, using small, controlled movements and high repetitions that build into that unmistakable Barre burn! 🔥
And the best part? You definitely don’t need to be a dancer to fall in love with Barre. It’s challenging, adaptable and such a fun way for anyone to move. I want people to discover movement they genuinely enjoy, feel strong and capable in their bodies, and leave class feeling better than when they walked in.
A huge thank you to @barrebody for such a comprehensive and inspiring course, and to @st36_pilates for giving me the opportunity and encouragement to develop my love of Barre and Pilates teaching 🙏💕✨

Did you notice the new heavier dumbbells that arrived at @st36_pilates this week?

Putting them to the test!

Mat Strength is about choosing a weight that challenges you — not worrying about what everyone else is doing, but focusing on your own strength journey.

Building confidence, resilience and strength, one rep at a time.

See you Monday for superset intervals!

LUNGE SLIDER SET 🤎

- apply pressure through all 5 toes and slide into your lunge, keeping both legs parallel and hips square to the mirrors.

- pulse low, feeling the stretch through the hip flexors.

- rise into your supporting leg and feel the burn through your front quad.

- hold at the top of the rise, gently scooter the back foot in while maintaining a low position through the glutes.

- extend through the front knee, then return to a bent position, feeling the quad engage even more.

- hold low and challenge your balance and stability, take your hands off the barre and hold!
- release the tension & recover ⭐️
