College Lvl. 3 Complete…Continue?

With all of these wonderful goobers that I get to call my friends? Hell yeah-

WHAT THE HECK DO YOU MEAN I JUST FINISHED MY JUNIOR YEAR OF COLLEGE THIS IS NOT REAL AHHHHHH

But seriously- this year has been absolutely insane between joining MadAve, being a first time choreographer, drowning in all of my homework, and everything in between it has been a ride- and it’s not quite done yet…so here’s to the summer and then continuing to stick around for one more year and I fear it may be the best one yet!

🎵: Calling- @annatoria__

We are grateful to God for ARSC’s success this past year🤍As a dance club that started in the fall of 2024 with only three members @janaachinay, @princess_fundi and @feyi_akin, ARSC has truly surpassed our expectations. We want to thank everyone who’s supported us this semester through your participation in one way or another. Your shared passion for dance has brought joy to many and we’ll strive to pass this legacy down for generations to come.

A special thank you to the E-board of the spring 2025 semester!!! You’ve all been a delightful crew to dance with. We wish you the best in your finals and can’t wait to see you all again in the fall🥂

(If you’d like to join the E-board/ performance team stay posted. Applications will be opened during the summer‼️)

So…I choreographed a 13 minute dance about #arcane …let’s talk about it-

OHMYGOSH THIS WAS AN INSANE PROCESS- from a crazy concept I had after finally watching the show for the very first time this winter to a finalized concept that I had 7 other dancers and myself perform in- crazy stuff. If you told me that the second dance that I’d ever choreograph is a concept work on Arcane utilizing 8 dancers from so many backgrounds from tap, to cheer, to ballroom, to bachata, to no dance background at all- I’d tell you that that’s insane and that I’m crazy for even thinking that would work. And it is. And I am. And that clearly has not stopped me yet.

This piece means the world to me seeing art that I love being brought to a stage that I can perform on for other people who enjoy this show to see. And I hope to continue doing that in the future as I continue to dance and choreograph more fun pieces like this.

To my dancers: Annabelle, Isa, Stecey, Aidan, Alex, Izzy, and Maddy. I am so endlessly proud of you all and I’m so grateful to have danced with and choreographed for you. You’re all phenomenal performers and I can’t wait to see what you all do next!

Shoutout to the awesomest costume designer @arosebyaniothername you’re the absolute best. I don’t know what we would have done if we weren’t being costumed by an Arcane super-fan. Adore you always.

I’ll likely post a full recording of the piece soon, but shoutout to @fortiche_prod @arcaneshow for creating such a beautiful and inspiring show. I hope it continues to fuel the creativity of many other artists like it did for me.

“Jinxed” you were a crazy ride of a project and I hope to revisit you at some point very soon. 💙💙💙

Dance Show - Here & Now

This Dance Show invokes a lot of emotions for me. This is one of my final projects at Drew, and I am thrilled to have presented Drowning In My Visage. This was a piece of a raging watery storm of emotions, while providing the riskiest choice of all: do you choose to embrace all that you are? Like the fluidity of water, our expressions and identities remain to be like liquid.

Special shoutouts to my friend Kayla’s piece set in the wild and chaotic world of Arcane! And another to all of us dancing seniors that are soon to be graduating in the next few weeks.

It was an honor to commemorate Black History month with this memorable performance. As an African diasporic dance group, ARSC aspires to weave culture, traditions and Rhythmic movements from various regions of the world. We hope you enjoyed this showcase and stay tuned for more like this to come🤎
