Travel light and trust in serendipity.

Welcome to Elizabethton, Tennessee. This bridge, built in 1882, was quite a site. We weren’t planning to stop here, but had a bit of extra time and decided to check it out. Little did we know there was a fair going on with hundreds of people packed into this tiny historic downtown area. We had to hunt around a bit to find a spot to park the bikes, and for a minute I thought it was a lost cause. Fortunately, I was wrong. We got to see the sights, talk with some interesting people, and enjoy watching others enjoy themselves at this event. The whole town was beautiful and I definitely want to go back and spend more time there. This type of thing is one of my favorite parts about riding - the unexpected, serendipitous joys.

A few more shots from our trip to Tennessee. This road was the ‘destination’ for the trip - the Snake. I lost count, but they say it has 489 curves. It was certainly pretty technical in parts. I scraped pegs on the Bobber a few times, which is not a pleasant experience for me (and honestly had me thinking about a different bike). This country store was packed with riders of all types, but our group of Triumphs was the best of the bunch.

The best time to make friends is before you need them.

These are the first few shots from a recent group ride we did out in the mountains of Tennessee. We stopped by this awesome little store that the owner has preserved and turned into a tiny museum. This was early on in the ride, and I barely knew these guys, but this spot marked the beginning of what was an incredible weekend. More from this trip coming soon.

650+ miles with a crew built on common ground. Some of us had never met in person; others had never logged real highway miles together. What started as different backgrounds turned into pure camaraderie and mutual respect, all brought together by a shared love for motorcycles 🤘🏼
