My first pro signature shoe with @dcshoes @dc_skateboarding

Designing a shoe with DC has been such a cool process! Lot of back and forth with @m_cle , samples, tweaks, finally getting the perfect pair and breaking them in as seen in slide 2 with some recent iPhone lines filmed by @stackwood

The LE☀️ logo was drawn by one of the first skaters I’ve ever met @gregoire__grange and is a nod to Sunny ❤️

And tomorrow, SUNNY 2 drops on DC : a new full part we’ve been working on for around 9 months with @feugz and @davemanaud

Excited to share both the shoe and the video.

Merci.

Japan has been part of the CONNECT story since the very beginning 🇫🇷🇯🇵🌏

Over the years, we’ve welcomed skaters, artists, architects, researchers, skate medias and urban thinkers from Japan to Bordeaux. From @luiaraki ’s and @nobuo_iseki ´s artistic vision to collaborative work with Professor @fukei_yama3 on how to change the policy of Japanese cities towards skateboarding (to name a few), these exchanges have helped shape the conversations we host every year.

While street skateboarding is still restricted in many public spaces across Japan, the country has paradoxically become home to some of the most inspiring skate communities and creative individuals in skate culture.

A few weeks ago, we spent time in Tokyo meeting friends, exploring public spaces and continuing discussions around skateboarding and the city.

We also had the chance to screen a new beautiful short documentary by @stackwood about Bordeaux’s skaturbanism journey and the CONNECT project at the epic @cinemacaravan festival. More on that very soon.

Until then, here are a few moments by @gregoire__grange in Tokyo, with extra shots by @nobuo_iseki and Japanese connects at Connect by @oeildalex

After spending two weeks in Japan, I still struggle to find the right words to describe what I experienced there. 🇯🇵

Japan is much more than restaurants, buildings or skate spots on every corner. Above all, it’s about the people, the mindset and a completely different way of seeing things.

I came there with the desire to better understand a country that has inspired me through Japanese skateboarding for nearly 15 years, to skate the spots I had dreamed about for so long, but most importantly to meet the people who truly make this place what it is.

I met incredible people, created new connections, and also got to reconnect with people who have inspired me throughout all these years of skateboarding.

This experience has been one of the most enriching of my life and makes me want to come back to this beautiful country as soon as possible.

Thank you @leovallsconnected @gregoire__grange @sergio_santoro @koki_yokokura @0h_loda @ryota.wg @julien_j @ranman_tokyo @mokichi___mitaka @laurenmahanyoga @cathalcc @stackwood @nobuo_iseki @takahiromorita2024 @dekunobo_unofficial @shigetaiha @fesn.laboratory @fesnofficial @fredrikangner @andre.rascol @japanese_super_rat @honorin0911 @fukei_yama3 @noahtorress @stinky_eagle @luiaraki @munekitajima @fesn.laboratory @fesn.kyugokan Sunny 🌞 who shared this trip with me.

We have a lot to learn from Japan and from the people who live there.

Trust me, this experience is truly worth it

Leche Studios is happy to have presented at the 15th annual Zushi Film Festival with @cinemacaravan and @connect.skaturbanism.festival.

Our short film follows @leovallsconnected on his journey to reimagine development in his hometown, shifting from a conservative approach to a more play friendly environment by challenging decade old stigmas that have enveloped skateboarding culture.

Thank you to all who collaborated on this project.
