Your next candlelight date night with your mum in Amsterdam 🕯️ @stadscafe.ams

We went to Stads Café in Westerpark and honestly loved the whole evening. Such a beautiful spot with warm interiors, candlelight everywhere and the sweetest service.

We tried a few dishes and everything was sooo good. Also, whatever you do, save some room for dessert!

Definitely one we’ll be coming back to!

For the ones who appreciate good design🤍

We looove a spot with beautiful interiors, and sometimes the design is just as much of a reason to visit as the food & drinks.

So we put together some of our fave bars & restaurants in Amsterdam where the interiors really caught our eye.

Recently opened 🤍

Amsterdam never sits still. Every month new spots open their doors and honestly… we love keeping track of them for you. From new wine bars and neighborhood restaurants to places that already feel like they’ve been there forever.

In our Recently Opened Guide we’re sharing the new openings currently on our radar in Amsterdam. Some we’ve already visited, others are high on our list and already creating buzz around the city.

The perfect guide if you’re always looking for your next dinner reservation, terrace moment or spontaneous night out.

Someone told me men don’t like skirts over pants. I’ll be sure to keep that in mind never.

A breakfast meeting needs three things at once: a kitchen that opens early, food worth the table, and a room where two people can actually hear each other. Almost nowhere in Amsterdam has all three. Ask this city where to have breakfast and it mostly names chains, and the chain rule applies here exactly as it does at dinner.

So we went looking for the rooms that work on a Tuesday at half eight, with the opening time on every one, because at this hour that is the whole decision.

01. Gebroeders Niemeijer, Nieuwendijk · 8.3/10 (Tue to Fri from 8:15, petit dejeuner 9.95 euro, closed Monday)
02. Ottolenghi, Museumkwartier · 7.8/10 (daily from 7:00, bookable)
03. Bakhuys, Weesperbuurt · 7.7/10 (weekdays from 7:00, breakfast until 14:00)
04. Vinnies, Scheldestraat · 7.7/10 (Mon to Fri from 7:30, laptops banned from lunch onward)
05. Stadscafé, Westerpark · 7.7/10 (daily from 7:00, quietest before 10:00)
06. Pension Homeland, Marineterrein · 7.6/10 (daily from 7:00, breakfast until 11:30)
07. Morgan & Mees, Frederik Hendrikbuurt · 7.6/10 (daily from 8:00, bookable, quiet at 8:30)
08. De Wasserette, Eerste van der Helststraat · 7.5/10 (daily from 7:30, weekday mornings only)

Two more that made the list without a photo: Scandinavian Embassy on Sarphatipark, and Toki, which has no power sockets at all, by design, and a four-seat bar built into a wall opening so you sit facing each other instead of facing a screen.

The special also has a second lane, ten weekend brunch destinations, where the same traits flip: a queue that would ruin a Tuesday is the entire point of a Sunday.
