Laura Bott’s exhibition La Glüsch dals Giardins is on view at Art Gallery Pontresina until 24 October.
Born in Val Müstair and deeply rooted in the Lower Engadine, Laura Bott is an artist, a flower woman and a “farmer without a farm”. Plants, wood, gardens and the distinctive light of the Engadine shape her work.

I respect boundaries. I just question them. 👀🐾

Blu meets Not Vital at @stallamadulain where a mirrored staircase catches the Engadin sky and turns the surrounding landscape into part of the experience. 💙⛰️

Blu’s assessment: magnificent.

The tiny chain standing between him and further artistic research: less magnificent.

if you’re looking contemporary art and feel like making your way to Engadina, in Switzerland, you will be able to see many different Gallery exhibitions but just know that they tend to be open on Thursdays to Saturdays from 3 to 6 or 7 PM so I suppose it makes sense for people who are not too far.
I visited 2 yesterday that happened to be open and I’m looking forward to spending the next three afternoons visiting many more.
I’ll be sharing a bit of what I see, especially related to Language in someway in the next few posts.

This Summer @stallamadulain presents KÖNZ.
The exhibition reunites the works of Iachen Ulrich Könz, Constant Könz, and Steivan Liun Könz for the first time since their joint exhibition in Bellinzona in 1971.
Many of the works on display come directly from the
family’s collection or from the artists’ studios and are being presented to the public for the first time.
They offer new insights into the work of all three artists and invite visitors to rediscover their artistic legacy.
It is far more than a presentation of three related artists. Rather, it tells the story of a family whose work has helped shape the cultural identity of the Engadin over generations.
Architecture, painting, watercolour, drawing, sgraffito, and literature come together in an exceptionally diverse body of work. Although they shared common roots, each of the three
artists developed a distinctive artistic language and, in his own way, made a significant contribution to the artistic and cultural history of the Engadin.

Junge Waldohreule🦉

Waldohreulen bauen keine eigenen Nester.
