More than 70 million people worldwide have some form of dysautonomia, but it remains widely under/misdiagnosed. Those seeking answers often wait YEARS for diagnosis, being told that “nothing is wrong” while they are suffering with symptoms no one understands.

Because dysautonomia conditions are usually invisible (meaning you can’t see the disability just by looking at someone), so many of us are invalidated.

While every person with dysautonomia has a different experience and has varying levels of functioning, no one’s lived experience is any less valid.

October is a time to raise awareness for this unique group of conditions so that others may access medical professionals who listen.

So that others don’t suffer for years before getting answers.

So that we can access better resources and support to understand our health.

Take some time to learn more and speak to someone about what it’s like to live with dysautonomia! Happy October, everyone 🩵🩵🩵
