This week in St Andrews: 23 – 29 March

As March continues and spring begins to properly settle over St Andrews, the town is full of energy with another busy and exciting week ahead. Longer days, lighter evenings and a packed events calendar make this the perfect time to get out and enjoy everything happening across town.

From thought-provoking talks and creative workshops to live music, social events and community gatherings, there’s something happening every day this week. Whether you’re looking to try something new, meet people or simply take a break from coursework, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved.

St Andrews Cocktail Week (@standrewscocktailweek) is now in full swing and runs right through until this Sunday, 29 March. Across town, bars and restaurants are offering special menus, signature cocktails and unique experiences – making it a great chance to explore some of your favourite spots or discover somewhere new before it wraps up.

2-for-1 Eggs Benedict 🍳

This deal is available for @standrewscocktailweek wristband wearers. Order any Eggs Benedict and a second for free. This is such a good offer and both of us commented about how this was one of the best Eggs Benny we have ever tasted. The addition of smoked bacon just made it for us and plenty of hollandaise sauce.

I also sampled the Hatch Signature Cocktail which this year was the Lillet Spritz. It was delightful aromatic and at a great price of £6.50.

I reccomened getting two starters and sharing if you are deciding between options. I really enjoyed the cheddar churros with the burnt leek mayo. Something different that I’d never seen on a menu before. The Beef Cheek mustard jus was so rich and indulgent. Loved this! I enjoyed the chicken dish but felt it needed a little more whisky jus for my liking.

St.Andrews Cocktail Week is running from the 20th to the 29th of March this year! If you are looking for a fun girls day out or a quiet couples date this event is perfect for you with over 30 locations across St.Andrews!•

We started our crawl at the Russack’s hotel in the 18 Restaurant before moving onto The Adamson where we had a lovely two course meal paired with our cocktails! We then headed to The Criterion before heading to our last venue which was Rogue! All the cocktails were delicious but our top ranked cocktail was definitely the Lady Dalton from The Adamson!•
