It's time to march again and we need YOU 🫵 there! We need to know does this city belong to Philadelphians or does it belong to billionares? City council and the mayor will get to answer that question in the next coming weeks. Let's make sure they know what the right answer is. No Arena in the Heart of Our City!

Remembering the late, great Philadelphia Photographics custom lab. Shots from one of the last rolls I had processed and scanned there. (The last three were taken inside the lab, burning the roll so I could rewind.)

The National Endowment for the Humanities @nehgov featured our friends Ron and Fay Stanford @stanfordcreative in their magazine Humanities earlier this year. Ron and Fay created the images that became Big French Dance, a collection of portraits of musicians in Acadiana c. 1972-74, with the support of a 1973 NEH grant. Images from Big French Dance were exhibited at the Acadiana Center for the Arts @acadianacenterforthearts here in Lafayette in 2019. Find out more about this great work on Ron’s website.

I was stuck at home when I received a gift that made me travel through time (1973) and space (Judice, Louisiana). Merci for the print and the book, @StanfordCreative! Make sure to check out his photographs of French-speaking #Cajun musicians 🎻 in 1970s #Louisiana.

#Music : "Francophone Musicians in Louisiana" ...Fifty years ago, a far-flung countryside of Southwest Louisiana was filled with French Cajun and creole songs. From open air dances to family homes, these country, blues, and rhythm-and-blues melodies were the soundtrack to several generations. This musical culture has been showcased in a black and white album by photographer Ron Stanford ( @stanfordcreative ), who lived with these Francophone musicians from 1972 through 1974.
