World Coastal Championships🌍🇮🇹🌊

What a journey! 5th in the world in the men’s quad! This is my best international result to date, finally breaking into that top 5 spot. It was an event which really tested being adaptable, nothing went as imagined. Though the training was done and once that buzzer went, we gave it our all. It was a hard fought battle, battling for those top few spots the whole way, plenty of crashes and waves, which always make it exciting.

Wow ! What a treat. Yesterday’s surprise marriage proposal at the Mont-St-Michel that I photographed was for Olympian @peter_chatain who won a bronze medal at the Paris @olympics a few days ago. Peter is part of the US 8-man rowing team and asked me to capture his proposal as he travels for a few days before heading back to the Olympic Games closing ceremony.

Beautiful Briana wasn’t expecting a proposal at the Mont-St-Michel but as Peter knows she loves the Disney film ‘Tangled’ which features the island, he made the perfect choice.

Congratulations to both Peter and Briana for an amazing week here in France. Two huge life events! Amazing !

Rowed at @harvardwrowing ➡️ took a class in cycling at Central Park
Added to the road race one month before the Olympics. Now, just seven years after that beginner’s class in New York City, she has won two gold medals.

She is only the second cyclist to win gold for both the road race event and team pursuit during the same Olympics since World War II.
