There are countless videos on the net telling you that shaft lean in the short game is bad, causes digging, creates fast ball speeds, etc. Here's the measured 3D data of a highly world ranked elite player showing you the truth about shaft lean. Enjoy.

Wonderful info from Stan Utley on how to chip off of the green or tight lies. Love the sound he makes, even of the green.

Better putting isn’t about finding shortcuts.
It’s about building a better stroke.

The @flightdeckputtingllc putting aid helps you learn to deliver a square face at impact. And for me, I use it to help learn to control speed with my backstroke. I figure if @stanutley is using this aid, why shouldn’t I?

Pair it with the Spoiler Ro Mallet, and you’ve got two tools working toward the same goal: a squarer face, a more consistent stroke, a purer roll, and a better putter.

When you can control the face and see the roll, you can start to understand what your stroke is really doing.
Train with purpose.

Let’s Roll.

Great drill from @stanutley to help you have the feel of the putter head crashing into the golf ball. It also helps you feel “Lively putter head” which many great putters have described their putting stroke as.

3 things great wedge players do that you probably think are WRONG.

🔥 1. They use a closed stance.
It can help you control the low point and deliver the club consistently.

🔥 2. They use their wrists.
Good wedge players don’t eliminate wrist action—they learn to use it.

🔥 3. They hook their pitches.
That little draw/hook pattern can help control trajectory, spin, and distance.

True story.

The problem isn’t that these things are wrong.
The problem is that most golfers have been taught to avoid them.

Unlearn golf as you know it.

A. Hit the sand with healthy shaft lean
B. Twist the grip to keep leading edge down
C. Keep the submarine under water longer and long enough

These things will change your bunker life.

Moving forward. Healthy shaft lean. Closing the blade. Taking loft off the club.

Well done @stanutley

My good friend @stanutley perfectly demonstrating how stopping the handle firmly at impact will help you to spin it better. You pinch the ball and create more club head speed when doing this. This actually is very effective in all parts of short game.
