Short story: This reel shows the club’s first competitive goal in Saturday football (Bevan Van Wyk, first half free kick). We went on to win that game, beating Prospect FC 3-2. We finished league runners up in that first season, then went on to a top half finish in TVPL Division 1 (division below Regional Feeder League (Step 7)) after fighting at the top for most of last season. We could have been closer, too. This goal was scored less than two years ago, and we are already knocking on the door of the football pyramid. Two years. From nothing to something. That’s progress, that’s ambition. We now have a Development side to bring a direct stream of talent into the club. Another important step, another boxed ticked. Hard work today, but we will reap the rewards tomorrow. We have a lot to do on and off the pitch this season. Thankfully, we’ve never been phased by a challenge. We’ve built up some excellent connections with commercial partners, household names and clubs higher up the pyramid alike. The trajectory shows which way we are going. This season, next season, beyond. Be part of our journey. #WeAreUnited #NonLeague #Grassroots #Caversham

🎂 11 YEARS 🎂 On this day 11 years ago, Caversham United Football Club was formed. Back then, Caversham United was a one team football club and that team was the worst Sunday League side in Reading, by virtue finishing bottom of the bottom division. Since then, things have changed. The club has grown both on and off the pitch, and will be home to over 150 adult players next season. The Goats have become a brand, with replica shirts in over 30 countries worldwide. We’ve raised over £15,000 for charitable causes. And we’ve had a Premier League striker and a Women’s Super League winner among our player ranks. 11 years - done. And as we head towards year number 12, it’ll be back to the Year of the Goat. 🐐 #WeAreUnited #GOATS #Football #Caversham #RDGUK

⚽️💙 The Lewis Waters Memorial Ball Sesh Cup 💙⚽️ Along with fellow local clubs @caversham_afc, @caversham_trents and @rotherfieldunitedfc, we are supporting the Lewis Waters Memorial Ball Sesh Cup on Sunday 7th June, in memory of Lewis Waters who tragically lost his life to meningitis this year. Whilst a scheduling clash with tournaments means us fielding a team at Clayfield Copse this weekend will be challenging, our fellow clubs have been hard at work to make it a special day to celebrate Lewis in the best way possible – with football, friends, family, food, music, and a few beers along the way. It’s what he would have wanted. This isn’t just about football though; it’s a day raise money for Meningitis Now, and honour a football lad who loved nothing more than having everyone together. There is an epic raffle on the works too…! 🕑 Arrivals from 2pm ⚽️ Football from 3pm 🍔 Bring food, drinks & picnic blankets 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Friends & family all welcome ❤️ Raising funds for Meningitis Now Let’s make it a day Lewis would have loved. #LewisWatersMemorialBallSeshCup #Caversham #Meningitis #RDGUK #InMemoryOfLewis

🤝 SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES 🤝 We are excited to announce that have brand new sponsorship opportunities available for the 2026-27 season - including on our kit! With the formation of new sides at the club this summer, plus a brand new away kit in the making, we have some really exciting opportunities available across our male and female teams! And if your business is based in Reading, there’s a an extra special twist… 🤐 As well as featuring on the kit, benefits include social media exposure to a combined 33K+ followers across our platforms, regular inclusion in matchday content including your logo and account handle tags, access to our growing player pool for offer-sharing and incentives, and generally the chance to be part of a growing club who does things differently! Not got the budget for kit sponsorship this time, or not a business and just want to help? We will also offer a range of matchday, Player of the Match and individual player sponsorships throughout the upcoming season. Prices start at £20, so could be worth a punt for anyone! And finally, the why, the plea. Grassroots football is really expensive to run right now - let alone for a club to develop and progress as we intend to. The proceeds generated from sponsorship are used towards the development of each pathway (Saturdays, Sundays, Women), and supporting our 2026-27 season plans. It also helps to keep football affordable for our players. For us, sponsorship is beyond just a transaction. We relish the interaction, the external interest and getting to know our partners. DM us now to get involved. We are incredibly grateful for any support. #Sponsorship #NonLeague #Football #Partnership #RDGUK
