one week of the @lizzymcalpine interview!!! thank u so much for ur kind words and dms and comments and everything and all that 💖✨🫰 i wrote this episode during a particularlyyyyy intense time in my personal & professional life and i think its funny because u can really see hows that’s oozed its way into the final product. there is a weirdness to this one. a darkness. a little less awkwardness a little more pensiveness…. i think it just reaffirms what ive said since season 1… interviewing is truly my art and my way to process things and continue on living and it sounds dramatic and i have tears in my eyes and my heads in the clouds and the stars will rly always be there if u look around….

anyway thank u for the love on this one .. i love the world we’ve created dont u?

Half Scottish, half English and raised between Boston and London, Iona is a music presenter and the creative force behind @stargazershow. Having grown from homemade forts in her parents’ living rooms into a fully fledged, disarming interview series, Stargazer has seen Iona lie beside many impressive musical guests, including Finn Wolfhard and, most recently, Lizzy McAlpine (episode out on 22 September!), whose fourth studio album, Angel, has just dropped.

stargazer season 3 episode 2……. is coming soon…. i wasnt going to talk about it until like next week or something but i filmed the other day and im just too excited to not show u some bts….. ive been replaying the most insane moments from this shoot over and over and over in my head…. my mind goblins are so happy and slimy and we cant wait for u to come back into the fort… come along with us! hark ! and all that jazz !!! maybe there was an easter egg in this post maybe ive said too much…. either way keep ur eyes peeled and ur hearts open….. im so excited for this one and everything also all at once :) love u

When @ionabielby first launched @stargazershow, she wasn't interviewing household names – she was meeting the rising artists she admired, many of whom have since become her friends. Rather than chasing celebrity access, she focused on something she could control: thoughtful questions, a carefully crafted visual identity and conversations that felt more human than performative.⁠

That outlook still powers the series today, as the show launched the first episode of its third season with musician, Stranger Things star (and 24.5 million-followed) @finnwolfhardofficial last week. ⁠

"I'm not media-trained," Iona laughs. "I'm sure everyone can tell by now; I have no interest in being media-trained. I just wanted to create something that felt really human and not palatable. Something a little more dangerous; I always say there's a bite to my interviews, if you really pay attention."⁠
