Inspired by By Poets prompt - Sip of the Sun - hosted by @wordsbyjabbrin , @thestoryofgreen

.

Taking a sip of the sun
glowing in full galore,
O gentle breeze, sing
me a song of forgotten
love, that you gently carry

Awakening are, allure of
August, and hidden truths
of autumn ...fading gloaming
invoking echoes of the past
blooming as whispering shadows

Let your song be a soothing lullaby,
and lead my way along banks of
river of dreams without awakening
me to the beckoning of loneliness
or whistling of hazy silence

💖Winning entry💖 for the Finish the poem prompt - I set fire to your memories - hosted by @altpoetryprompts , #altpoetryprompts
.

I set fire to your memories
beneath monsoon laden skies
Downpour washing away
ashes, yet like a puddle,
Neither too deep nor too shallow
they still linger in my heart

Reverberating thunder making
me rewind thoughts to halcyon,
Lightning guiding the odyssey to
where dreams were alluring as rainbow
Now only bluish - grey hues
like the looming gloomy clouds

Still, a thought crossing my mind
like setting off a pernicious alarm
What if, all are not burnt, some
remnants of reminiscences
hide in crevices of bygones,
to savor my new dreams

Maybe destiny wants me to
hold onto slivers of vestiges
To sprinkle them upon blank
pages to begin writing new chapter
Or will the pain and ache make
me more resilient to move forward ...

Micros inspired by the prompt - TRUE COLORS - hosted by @altpoetryprompts , #altpoetryprompts
💖One of them - Second place winner 💖

.
Facing odds in life,
true colors of a
person revealed
Whether they accept
challenges in life,
or surrender to failures
becomes truly testing
time ... either they
become resilient
to swim against
tides, or drown in
despair, never
taking a chance
.....

Filigree mask she adorned
only to veil true colors of
emotions .... sparkling silver
hiding pearly drops
brimming in eyes ... smile
hiding the sorrows
of her soul ... once
empathy filled heart,
how it became a dormant
volcano, she herself
didn't know ...

Inspired by Thursday Twilight prompt - Flamebound and Battleborn -hosted by @cosmosofwriters , #cosmosofwriters, @thestoryofgreen , #thursdaytwilight26
.

Footprints lined with embers of yesterdays' struggles /
Paths of tomorrow glowing in kaleidoscopic hues /
Scared she is, to saunter into that unknown realm /
Alchemized to a different version by tears and pain /
Yet, resilience and confidence never leaving her alone /
On path of tabula rasa she ventured - flamebound and battleborn

Inspired by the photo prompt - hosted by @altpoetryprompts , #altpoetryprompts

.

Bearing burden of emotions,
penned upon chapters of her
very existence, delved she,
into the depths of verses

Seeking meanings of the meaningless,
her own reflection, she forgot with time
Treading upon finesse of uncertainty,
what future didn't hold, was all she saw

Mirror slivers of mishaps taunting,
in waters of life she kept bleeding, but
Karmic kismet kept her afloat, giving
new hope to rise and soar

Gently glided with winds, the
yellowed pages carrying her emotions
Directionless they swirled into
oblivion... her sighs and tears evanescing

The weight of her unwritten words-
defying gravity - morphed to
shooting stars ... they kept dancing
across the vastness of midnight blue skies

.
