✨ CALL FOR ART ✨
EMERGENCE: Part IV — JOY
What does it mean to experience joy? Where do we find it, how do we recognize it, and what allows it to grow within us?
For the fourth installment of our Emergence series, we invite artists to explore JOY in all its complexity. The fleeting and the enduring. The quiet moments of gratitude. The unexpected beauty in the everyday. The light that finds us even in seasons of uncertainty.
We invite you to reflect on what joy means to you and how it takes shape through your creative practice.

🕊️REBIRTH (September 19th)
The third chapter of our Emergence series was one to celebrate. 🤍
Thank you to every artist who shared their creativity, vision, and stories with us, and to everyone who came out to experience the magic of REBIRTH. Your presence, energy, and support made this show so special. Art brings us together, inspires us to see things differently, and reminds us of the beauty in growth, transformation, and new beginnings.
We’re so grateful to everyone who continues to be part of this journey. This is what community is all about. 🫶🏽🎨
And we’re not done yet! ✨

Before a shutter clicks, a drawing is started, or even a plan for what to create exists, there’s inspiration 🌿🪶

Sometimes, it begins with a moment like this. Being out on the water, listening to the birds, watching the light dance across the landscape. Just taking it all in 😌

These are the moments that spark creativity, and the places that give us something worth creating for. But natural spaces like these aren’t guaranteed to be here forever. The Land Conservancy of McHenry County works to protect and preserve the land that makes this area so special.

Join us at Art of the Land THIS weekend, Friday, October 23rd & Saturday, October 24th, from 6:30-9pm! An Art Show and Fundraiser (there will be art, art demonstrations, music, food and more) celebrating the landscapes around us while supporting TLC’s conservation work.

Because before nature becomes art, it deserves to be protected as nature 🩷

The Starline Factory
400 W Front St, Harvard, IL
*Online purchase of art is available from 7pm on October 23rd until 9pm on October 24th

Hope to see you there!

If you stumbled across these scenes on a dark, secluded October night, would you keep exploring… or turn around 👀

Nature has a way of feeling mysterious, even otherworldly. But beyond the shadows, eerie sounds, and dancing lights is something very real: a world full of wonder, life, and places worth protecting.

That’s what makes Art of the Land so special. It celebrates the natural world while supporting the Land Conservancy of McHenry County and its work to preserve the land for future generations 🩷

I’m honored to have three pieces included:
Unfolding, Haunting Silence, and The Watcher Within.
