1 year ago today I began my journey and stepped into an MMA gym for the first time. When I got there I met Coach Trey. He threw me straight into sparring to get a feel for how I handled myself under pressure, I got the living daylights beat out of me and even though I went home that night battered and bruised, my teammates and coaches always made sure I didn’t give up on myself and I began to show up day after day. A lot of people ask me why I fight, it’s not because of the materialistic bs, but the true love, loyalty, and strength that my coaches, family, friends, and teammates have bestowed upon me. My coach once told me “No matter what hardships come up in life, think about your “why” if that’s a person, imagine if they were sitting across from you asking “Did you do it?”.” #mma #combat #kickboxing
