shrek the musical 🧅…

WHEWWWWWW. the feelings i’m feeling right now are way too big to put into words. shrek the musical was, without a doubt, the best show i’ve been a part of so far.

i got to meet some incredibly talented people while also reuniting with people from previous summers, including the ones who were there for my very first show, footloose. the people who watched me grow, believed in me, and helped make this theater feel like home.

as i get ready to leave for new york, i’m realizing just how much this summer meant to me. no matter where life takes me, SJT will always be my first home, and i plan to come back every summer for as long as i can.

the hardest part is knowing that, for some of us, this may have been the last time we shared a stage/summer together. that thought hurts my heart in a way i can’t even explain. i don’t want to imagine a summer without seeing you every day, laughing with you, and making memories together.

but more than anything, i’m grateful i got to experience it at all.

thank you, shrek the musical, for being the perfect way to send me into this next chapter of my life.

to every single person i’ve met through this theater, please know you’ve left a permanent mark on my heart. i love you, i appreciate you, and i’ll never forget you. i truly hope our paths cross again, whether at SJT or somewhere completely unexpected.

until next time.

with all the love in my heart,
your favorite ‘freak’ 💚🧅🍿🎭
