As a runner, it’s such a privilege to have the opportunity to occassionally exchange my racing bib for my race director clipboard : #racedirector #running #5k #quinnipiac #starspangledrun

Had a magical day exploring the history and lore of Sleepy Hollow — following in the footsteps of Washington, Rockefeller and Carnegie, and, of course, the legendary Headless Horseman. A place where American history, literature and legend all seem to share the same winding roads. 🌙🐎 #sleepyhollow #washingtonirving #sleepyhollowcemetery #headlesshorseman #starspangledrun

Two of the runners in this year’s RBC Brooklyn Half Marathon, 30,341 finishers strong — the largest half marathon in the country and NYRR history! It was such a wonderful day to run through an incredible borough and celebrate at Coney Island with an incredible Bobcat marathoner. #nyrr #halfmarathon #brooklynhalf #brooklynhalfmarathon2026 #starspangledrun

Completed my second half marathon in as many months, earned a personal best for my half marathon, 20K, 15K and 10-miler. And to celebrate the completion of the Cheshire Half, I naturally went to @toninospizzahamden. The support of this community means the world to me!

En route to Manhattan for tomorrow’s United Airlines NYC Half Marathon.

I am running in honor of Aunt Betty and Grandma Jane — two great women who helped propel me forward my whole life — and in that spirit, I am building a playlist representative of everyone who has inspired me. I’d be super grateful if you drop in your favorite song (or three), and I’ll add them to my running playlist for tomorrow.

So grateful for you!

FINAL 72 HOURS TO CONTRIBUTE to my first half marathon and race to fight climate change. THANK YOU to the 20 generous souls who have contributed already and have brought me so close to my $1,500 goal. Anyone who has already donated or would like to donate moving forward: for every $10 you give, you can pick one song I have/get to listen to on my playlist on March 15. Contribute by clicking the link in my bio then add the song title as a comment. Thank you so much in advance — and I hope you weather the blizzard well and warm. #nychalf #nycunitedhalf #halfmarathon #climatechange #starspangledrun

THREE HUNDRED MILES!! That’s roughly the distance between New Haven and DC, and also the distance I ran this year.

So grateful for all of your support and encouragement — and willingness to listen to all of my running ramblings.

To celebrate this insane, unimaginable moment for this non-athlete, I’d super appreciate it if you’d consider supporting my fundraising goal of raising $2,000 for Team for Climate to support a healthier, cleaner climate. To those generous souls who have already contributed, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

I’ll be running the NYC Half Marathon on March 15, beginning in Brooklyn and running across the Brooklyn Bridge, to the UN, past Grand Central, through Times Square and into Central Park. It should be equally invigorating and exhausting.

You can learn more and contribute at the link in my bio, if you’re so inspired.

I’ll try to learn how to kick back my feet while jumping in the meantime.

I am proud to announce that I have been accepted into the United Airlines NYC Half Marathon!!!

I am grateful for the opportunity to fundraise with NYRR Team for Climate to support New York Road Runners’ ambitious goal of achieving Net Zero emissions by 2040 — and I’m proud to take on the United Airlines NYC Half as part of that commitment. I hope to raise $2,000 to build a better future.

This race is not only one of the most iconic routes in the world; it’s also the biggest challenge so far in my Star-Spangled Run journey to complete a race in all 50 states from sea to shining sea.

New York has always held a special place in my heart, and running through its streets — from Brooklyn to Manhattan, across the Brooklyn Bridge through Times Square and into Central Park — is a dream I’ve been building toward for years.

Your donation supports NYRR’s investment in carbon-offsetting projects, such as improved forest management that removes carbon from the atmosphere, and carbon-insetting efforts that reduce emissions within NYRR’s events and operations.

If you’re able, please consider supporting my run and NYRR’s mission to create a more sustainable future for runners everywhere. Together, we can help move NYRR closer to Net Zero by 2040.
