Hi Friend! Life is hard and the world is scary; I have a new song out today that brings me comfort, and maybe you’ll like it too! It’s a cover of Sade’s “By Your Side”. If just 300,000 people listen to it, I can maybe recoup the cost of my microphone. But really, if it gives you any type of fuzzy feeling, I’ve done my job. You can find it on most streaming platforms. All my love. Don’t forget your divinity! Produced by the loves of my life @starsystemlive

New! Song! Written from the perspective of Harold from the classic 1971 film, Harold and Maude, “Maude” is an acoustic pop ballad of rare intimacy. Lyrically, I tell the story with imagery and lines from the movie and pay tribute to the films theme song “If you want to sing out, sing out” by Yusuf/Cat Stevens. Sonically, I play with the number 2 allot: in the chords, rhyme structure, and melodic motifs, to represent the films namesake. Harold and Maude is so important to me, for its many lessons and themes. Unconditional love, self discovery and acceptance, non conformity to a culture of violence, a Jaguar E-Type hearse (that’s a lesson and a theme). I captured some of these feelings in my own 3 minute Harold and Maude World. Love myself for that. I love everyone who made the movie. And I love VOV for producing this track, my incredible partners The Star System for engineering/mixing/mastering (reminding me you love me and my work all the time and everything forever), and Julian Sun who created this gorgeous cover art + is a friend for life. Happy Valentines Day! #newsong #haroldandmaude #ivorlane #ifyouwanttosingoutsingout #valentinesday
