ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: STARTER CAR

We're delighted to be welcoming Starter Car to The Lab, Northampton on Friday 25 September.

One of the most exciting bands to emerge from London's grassroots scene in recent years, Starter Car has built a growing reputation for heartfelt songwriting, lush harmonies, and a warm, country-tinged indie sound that's impossible not to fall for.

Formed around Scottish songwriter Oisean, they've already made their mark at venues including The Windmill Brixton, The George Tavern, The Ivy House, and Shacklewell Arms, earning a loyal following along the way.

Their debut album, Afterlight, showcases a band brimming with confidence, blending laid-back guitars, rich melodies, and beautifully crafted songs that will appeal to fans of MJ Lenderman, Big Thief, Wilco, Neil Young, and Teenage Fanclub.

We're looking forward to seeing them bring those songs to Northampton as co-headliners alongside Nagasaki Swim.
