The FIRST CCA-tagged redfish ever caught on a Salty Head Jig Head is officially in the books! 🎣🔥

Salty Head owner Jorge Guzman ( @pacotron2112 ) landed the first CCA-tagged redfish ever caught on one of our jig heads, proving that when it comes time to battle a $100,000 fish, our hooks are more than ready for the challenge.

The only downside? 😅 He wasn’t registered for the tournament. 🫠

Even without the prize, it’s an incredible milestone and an unforgettable experience—especially after being off the water for so long. Moments like these remind us why we build our products to perform when it matters most.

Who’s ready to catch the next tagged fish… and hopefully be signed up this time? 🎣💰

Whether we spend Father’s Day celebrating the present, reflecting on the past, or both, we all share memories that shape us.

Taylor Rieck, Assistant Director for CCA Texas, does both as he shares a few words about the memory of his father and how his guidance shaped how he’s raising his son Hayden:

“One of the greatest gifts my dad ever gave me was his love of fishing. Some of my best memories were spent with him on the water, not just learning how to catch fish, but also how to appreciate the outdoors, be patient, and enjoy our time together. Even though he’s no longer here, those lessons and memories live on each time I pick up a rod. Now, I have the privilege of passing that same love of fishing to my son, sharing the traditions my dad shared with me, and creating a new generation of memories that connect us.”
