Cars & Coffee for a Cause was a beautiful event - with many people contributing to make it a successful fundraiser for Gaza. It is not lost on us that while we eat knafeh and dance dabke, there are children still being murdered with our tax dollars. We come together for these events - yes, to raise money - but to also remind ourselves that we are not alone and we cannot stop protesting, boycotting and fighting for Palestine’s freedom. Continue to educate and to raise awareness 🇵🇸

Proudly wearing my Handala necklace from my beautiful @daniahas @statednyc Handala is an iconic symbol of Palestinian identity and defiance. The character has been described as "portraying war, resistance, and the Palestinian identity with astounding clarity.” Handala was born 10 years old and he will always be 10 years old. It was at that age that he left his homeland. When Handala returns, he will still be 10 years old, and then he will start growing up. Dania donates a portion of each purchase to the humanitarian relief efforts in Gaza. #FREEPALESTINE

Yesterdays event was amazing - to have our family, friends, community and complete strangers come together for the Palestinian cause was beautiful. We want to thank each and every one of you that came out - in the rain! Thank you to all of our amazing vendors, artists and individuals who gave items to our raffle, our musician from Brooklyn Nomads and our amazing Queen City staff. We specifically came together for Motaz, who has been instrumental in ensuring the reality of what is happening in Gaza is seen by the masses. We ask everyone to continue to pray for Palestine. This Sunday may be our 4-year anniversary, but we had no plans of celebrating. Our hearts hurt. It’s hard to focus, to work. We’ve been feeling helpless, but we remembered our tiny platform gives us a voice - a voice that can be used for good. So let’s use it. Come support the amazing Motaz this Sunday.
