✏️ A day to celebrate indie paper shops founded by @calliopepaperie. Mark your calendar for the FIFTH Stationery Store Day on August 1st, 2026!

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

With our 7th birthday coming up, we’re looking back at 7 of our favorite moments from the past year! 💛 And what a year it’s been!

✨Another memorable Stationery Store Day! One of our favorite days of the year! A celebration of all things paper, with a line around the block and SO much love from this community. @stationerystoreday

✨Two stamp rallies! Not one but two! We helped bring our community together for the SF AAPI-Owned Business Stamp Rally @thekirashop @onwaverly and the Stationery Store Day Stamp Rally.

✨Our mini print world got a whole lot bigger! We created our 4th PS-exclusive @inciardi mini print (with a 5th on the way 👀), hosted a one-time Mystery Pack Lottery back in February, and hosted our very first Inciardi Collectors Meet-Up.

✨Pet portraits! We welcomed artist @andrecaceresg back for a 2nd pet portrait event, featuring some very cute four-legged friends!!

✨We made a GIANT pencil! Completely by hand and with some upcycled materials, for Stationery Store Day. A true labor of love!

✨Our shop got its very own portrait! The talented, local artist @watsonpayne illustrated our storefront. You might also recognize it from our birthday party graphic this year. We have the original framed at the store!

✨We hit 10K followers! A milestone that still feels a little surreal. We’re so grateful for every person who follows along, visits the shop, and supports what we do.

Seven years in and there’s still so much we’re excited to do. A HUGE thank you to everyone who has shopped with us, attended our events, shared our posts, or simply cheered us on along the way. This community is what makes PS so special and we couldn’t do it without you.

RSVP to our Birthday Bash 11/7 6:30-8:30 - link in bio!

Here’s to another year of PS! 💛

I would love to visit Door County someday. Until then, I will send the occasional gifted postcard from someone else lucky enough to have been there. #keepdreaming #outgoingmail #writemoreletters #sendmoremail #snailmail

💌 Stationery Store Day Haul ✏️

Long overdue post about the stationery-lover’s holiday: @stationerystoreday!
Indie stationery stores across the country participated the weekend of 08.01 with special merch, deals, and stamps! Last year’s was so overwhelming (14/15 LA stores visited!) that I didn’t have the energy to post about it.

Slightly more restraint this year - partly because we celebrated in Nor Cal, which only had 8 participating stores, and only 5 in the BART/MUNI service area. Still, it ended up being a whole weekend of stationery love.

PHOTO 1
Our stamped San Francisco stationery passport - we went off the itinerary and visited some additional awesome stores.

PHOTO 2
Assorted goods from @post.script.sf @caseformaking @jessicahischeandfriends including exclusive SSD merch available @post.script.sf

PHOTO 3
Cute animal stationery from @payns_stationery This was the largest store we visited - carrying everything from washi tape to fountain pens and even shipping supplies.

PHOTO 4
@inciardimachines mini-prints from @post.script.sf. I love a mystery pack and we had some so much fun unboxing and choosing our favorites (mine was “Painted Ladies”).

PHOTO 5
So many stickers from @sipandscrap’s stationery fair. We just missed the main event, but the owner was kind enough to give us a stationery goodie bag.

PHOTO 6
Dog bandana with golden poppies from @orangebird_sf, sticker pack from @maido_sf2f, bakery box sticker from @telescopecoffee_ sticker dispenser.

PHOTO 7
SHRED SISTERS by Betsy Lerner and THE BEST WE COULD DO by Thi Bui. When I find my fave books “in the wild,” I have to pick them up! @dogearedvalencia

Prints and stickers from @moment.sj vendors @farts.crafts.club and @suenos.sj

One of the reasons I created The Great Paper Chase is because we have some wonderful stationery shops here in Los Angeles, many with an incredible selection of Japanese stationery.

But stationery is a BIG world. 👀📓

As I’ve been putting together this route, I’ve intentionally looked for independent shops with different personalities. Some will have the stickers, washi, pens and adorable things we all have absolutely no business buying more of 🙄, while others may introduce you to beautiful paper goods, correspondence, creative supplies and things you may not normally encounter on your usual stationery run.

I’m not interested in taking you to seven versions of the same store.

I want every stop to give you a reason to get off the Sprinter.

Next Saturday I’m heading to Ventura to spend some time browsing the two shops I’m considering for our route, and I’m taking you along for the scouting trip. 👀🚐

I love when I get a chance to stop in @omoionline, one of my favorite stationery shops! 💛

I didn’t have anything particular in mind, but of course my “quick stop” turned into a “mini haul” 😂 So happy I got a chance to get some more @stationerystoreday items too! 🩷

What do you typically look for when visiting a stationery shop?

My monthly drop in with some of my August hobonichi pages. Hobonichi fever is high as we just hosted a preview party then launched 2027 @littlecraftplace. It’s been busy - so whenever I can get a lil time in my journal I’m so grateful! Hope you all got what you wanted during the launch and are enjoying the end of the summer !! 🩷🩷

Thank you @stationerystoreday for teaching me that there is an adorable stationery shop right by my grandmas house!! I would have never known how close @prettypagesco was if not for this community!
.
I can’t wait to keep coming back to this special shop 💕 So much amazing artwork and great gifting items. Not sharing my haul just yet because most of it is for my moms birthday, but I will afterwards. Happy Saturday everyone ☀️
