🏆 2026 QUEENSLAND OPEN BOULDER TITLES – THAT’S A WRAP!

What an incredible weekend of competition climbing at Urban Climb Milton!

Across seven categories, we’ve seen some outstanding performances, fierce competition, personal achievements and plenty of support from our Queensland climbing community.

👏 A huge congratulations to all our podium finishers! Your hard work, determination and commitment to the sport have been on full display this weekend. Swipe through to celebrate our medal winners across all seven categories!

But competition climbing is about more than medals. To every athlete who stepped onto the mats this weekend, whether it was your first competition or you’re a seasoned competitor, thank you for being part of it.

❤️ To our incredible volunteers, judges, officials and route setters – THANK YOU! Events like these simply wouldn’t happen without the countless hours you contribute behind the scenes.

A special thank you to Urban Climb Milton for hosting us, and to our sponsors and partners for continuing to support competition climbing in Queensland.

As our community continues to grow, it’s weekends like this that remind us why we do what we do.

Congratulations again to all our athletes, and we can’t wait to see you at the next one!

Malaysia. Emergent. Pro.

Setters’ Showdown 2026 brought together setters with different styles, experiences and ideas of what makes a good boulder, then put their work on the wall for both their peers and the climbing community to judge. They set. They foreran. They tweaked. They judged each other. You judged them.

To every setter who put their work out there: thank you for playing 👾

And to all our Setters’ Showdown 2026 sponsors and partners: thank you for backing the setters and helping us make all of this possible 🫶

Same holds, different moves! Here is a compilation of three totally different boulders featuring @stax_volumes, proving that good holds are versatile, working both on steep overhangs, tricky coordinations, or wherever the routesetter's mind wants to push the movement.

Osca has set a boulder inspired by a lobster before 🦞 So we know that ideas can come from pretty much anywhere. But whatever the starting point, Osca wants you to enjoy his boulders. He just doesn’t necessarily want you to send them straight away.

For the Portside Boulders setter, watching someone struggle, learn, and eventually figure it out is part of what makes climbing good. The goal isn’t to annoy you, but giving you something to work out? Absolutely.

And climbers still surprise him, especially with their ability to somehow fit themselves into spaces much smaller than he planned for 🤯

For Setters’ Showdown, Osca hopes you’ll remember something a little outdoorsy, something that makes you feel strong, and most importantly, something you enjoyed climbing. His boulders are up now at Boulder Planet Sembawang. Come get on the wall, and see what Osca brought from Perth 🇦🇺

New Youtube drop 🎥 | The Making of 9 Degrees Chatswood - link in bio!

We’re excited to finally release the behind the scenes look at all of the hard work, sweat, and plywood that went into making 9DC. It's already been almost a year since the doors opened and we're so happy to see the community that's grown in such a short time.

Hear about the process from the small 9D team who made it happen, or just take it as an opportunity for some HD footage of Nick on the tools

It goes without saying that the finals stage ain’t for everyone… so here’s to the courage and dedication that our top 6 climbers had to get up there and leave nothing behind!

They came rearin’ with moves, nerves, power and adrenaline and fought hard for the top spots.

If you were in the crowd, thank you for your energy. We simply can’t wait to do it again.

Have a peek at some highlights! 👉
