About World Championships...🌎✨ #LaterGram . Another year passes with a hardened heart, self-belief tested and another sense of belonging. Worlds this year was very different. I competed in the heavy weight class and I didn't prepare the way I typically do. Putting in a grueling camp, too many drills or having a ton of situationals. My focus has been to prepare for ADCC. . So, I left Worlds empty handed, but full in a heart of gratitude. I could have stayed by the sidelines and accepted I was not at my peak performance or I could accept the fact that I may go out and lose but leave no doubt in my competitive mind I went out to give my all.Β  . I went 1-1 in open class, submitting my first round opponent with a lapel choke. Then losing a quarterfinals by a straight arm lock from a real wonky inverted position. My division match although I had some great entries and sweeps I was caught by a toehold.Β Β Β  . Very bummed but the only loss you experience are those you don't continue to get back up after defeat. Keep going, you WILL be a World Champion.Β  . Thank you to my coaches and teammates for your continued support and belief! Onward and out, we're ADCC bound! Let's go!Β  . @precisionjjacademy @alliancegvl @norcal_physio @gaidama.usa @steadfast_soaps @strongforlifecommunity_ Β  @rolltheworldbjj . πŸ₯‹ Fits by the wonderful @gaidama.ca I am wearing the White 🀍 Gaidama x Antoinette Wysocki Perfect Fit Jiu Jitsu Gi - Pants A2T & Jacket A1L. πŸ₯‰πŸ₯‰ 2024 Pan Am Championships ✨PROGRESS ✨ . Securing a spot on the Pan American Championships podium has been elusive since changing to the medium heavy division in 2022.Β  . I had 4 matches in total, 2 wins by points and 2 losses by points. In the absolutes, I faced two super heavys, a new opponent and Gabrieli Pessanha. This year I lost to Pessanha via points, not submission. In my division I faced an opponent who has bested me two previous matches we faced. This time I successfully edged her out on points; to face a new opponent in the Semi finals, who I can't wait to face again! Although I am not satisfied with the results at Black belt there is no end journey just refinement, improvement, and Progress. Onto the next challenge, ADCC Trials! . Thank you ALWAYS to my team, coaches and sponsors for your support and belief. February Recap πŸ₯‹πŸŒΉπŸˆπŸ•πŸžπŸ₯‡πŸ€Όβ€β™€οΈ Can't wait for what March will bring! πŸŒΈπŸ³πŸ€Όβ€β™€οΈπŸ’š . Sometimes it feels like all I do is wake up, lift/ cardio, work, train, sleep, repeat πŸ” going to do recaps to remind myself I am more than my grind and Jiu Jitsu. February was filled with growth, laughter, delicious rewards of pizza and sourdough by @petuniaspizza @herculespipinos , watching my friends and teammates crush their goals/ aspirations, building a women's community at @precisionjjacademy with @kels.jitsu @saramcmann @masterchadkungfu , sweet morning purrs from @spicegirlsbutcats, simply the best moments. I am grateful for these moments and now there memories ❀️ . Can't wait to see how March will play out! This month we have two major tournaments to conquer, @ibjjf Pan American Championships and @adcc_official West Coast Trials. I am so excited to go challenge myself against the best in the sport, Let's go! βš”οΈ . Stay tuned for all Marchs non Jiu Jitsu shenanigans πŸ€ͺ . . #februaryrecap #FollowTheFox #Gaidama #BJJ

Sometimes we wake up and choose violence βš”οΈ Highlight of Sacramento Open No-Gi Absolute division. . Recently I've been working more wrestling for ADCC preparations. Happy to see the execution no hesitation of a couple attempted takedowns I have been working on. I've also been working on trying to complete matches via submission ASAP. Securing a RNC in my first match and a Guillotine in the finals. Though my opponents were much smaller than me, I am proud to have made progress on those two goals in this tournament. Up next @ibjjf Pan Championships & @adcc_official North American Trials πŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ . .
