#Salute to @RapsodyMusic & @KendrickLamar for this masterpiece. Art is meant to provide commentary, prompt thought (reflection/introspection l), and effect change and that is exactly what the album #ToPimpAButterfly & this track #Complexion is about! Let the record show that @WarRoomSports and the brothers at @TissueInTheTape on the greatest podcast network in the universe, #WRSPN would love to spark convo on air to discuss this particular track. Salute to @9thWonderMusic and @TopDawgEnt as well. #zulu #ZuluLove #KDot #music #hiphop #9thWonder #Rapsody #KendrickLamar #jamla #negus #MelaninBeauty #Melanin #ChocolateWinning #BlackIsBeautiful #BlackLivesMatter #BlackLove #TheBlackerTheBerry #Instagram #Instagood #PicOfTheDay #Love #Beautiful

Big @Warroomsports #salute to @beastmode twitter: @moneylynch . You may or may not agree with how he chose to handle the media and opportunity to utilize the media day platform but you cannot deny his impression. It also created an opportunity to see the #KeyboardCowards and those that hide behind the anonymity of social media and comments sections of news outlets. Last year @rsherman25 was a "thug" for being outspoken, a bit verbose, highly opinionated, articulate, thoughtful, thought-provoking, and incendiary. This year, Marshawn took the opposite direction and was branded the same... A "thug". The common theme here? A break from the societal norms and expectations of a professional athlete. We expect them to behave in a way that comforms, offering status quo cliché quips when interviewed and when they step out of line, we blast them or laugh at them. What we never want is anything that relates to free thought or rebellion, or social activism. Isn't this America, land of the "free"? Isn't this country built on rebellion? Isn't the "free-spirit" a staple here? Or doesn't that fit these particular types of athlete? I encourage you to read Ms. Jaleesa Jones' piece http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/6580618
