6.17-27.25 - House of Payne S13 / Assisted Living S7

Bout time I finally posted about this internship (had to wait until things released anyway). At the beginning of my internship at Tyler Perry Studios, I had the privilege to be on set for 2 of their sitcoms. Thanks to the open arms of everyone there I got to learn so much from very impressive people. It’s actually shocking how much I was able to learn in one day let alone 2 weeks. It was so amazing getting to witness the community, efficiency, and professionalism that production had to offer and it definitely affirmed that on set is where I’m meant to be. Special thanks to Neta, George, Kristian, German, Justin, Chad, Marc, Jaylen, Drew, Warren, Chris, Tez, Oren, and Anthony for truly taking me in and pouring your knowledge into “the new generation”. I appreciate you all so greatly and your guidance and kindness mean(t) so much to me.

2025 was an emotionally challenging year for me. I moved to Atlanta, Georgia after living in Los Angeles for 11 years. At first, I felt very alone in a new place. I was a complete stranger to new people, and I felt like I had to prove to everyone (again) that I was a good person worthy of trust. One of the best moves was joining a local church near my house where I met some amazing people that helped give me the confidence to be authentic. Then I started slowly making new friends that believed in me and I’m indebted to them for loving a complete stranger. I would swing between mourning my old life and my friends in Los Angeles but then there was the joy of navigating a new career in woodworking and living in the beautiful south again. I started reconnecting with Christianity again, which has absolutely given me a spiritual strength to take on all these life changes. Sometimes I’ll just be in my workshop working on something and I’ll start crying because I’m happy where I am but I knew it wasn’t easy getting this far. As I’m writing this up, I have a happy cat on my lap and a full day of work in the wood shop. I’m excited for 2026 and what this year will bring me. Thanks to everyone that believes in me and know that I feel completely in debt to you all for your love and compassion. Wishing everyone a great 2026!

That’s a wrap on 2025. Quiet seasons build strong foundations. 2026, let’s work. 👊🎬 #AtlantaFilm #newyear2026

Wrapped another movie last week! Thankful and grateful to still be working in this industry. Much love to the entire crew. Especially the grip & electric gang! It's been over a year since I've flown a condor so I was pretty excited to get back in the basket!
