My husband is running the London Marathon (woohoo) lots of training going on here but not only for personal reasons he is also running to raise £3,000 for Coeliac UK 🧡

5 years ago I was diagnosed with coeliac disease, an autoimmune disease, not a food intolerance or a diet trend like I once assumed. Before my diagnosis I genuinely thought gluten free was just a lifestyle choice people made to feel a bit healthier. I had no idea how serious it actually was.

Now even a crumb of gluten makes me really unwell, and it's been a huge adjustment learning to live with it. Since being diagnosed I've also realised just how many people around me are affected too, I now have so many friends who are coeliac as well. It's far more common than people think, and so many don't even know they have it.

That's why this cause means so much to us. If you're able to, please consider donating to help raise awareness and support research and better diagnosis for people like us

Hey! It’s Sean Corbett here today, I am a Camera & Steadicam Operator from Glasgow.

I have been working as an operator for over 8 years, mostly specialising in commercials, dramas, music videos and dance. I’ve had the pleasure of working with a number of the talented members of this collective!

In the past few years dance camerawork has become a special interest of mine, having had my rig as a dance partner on 8 shorts and 3 feature length films with the wonderful @scottishballet . Sadly I did not grow up as a child dance prodigy, however I did have a musical upbringing, percussion being my main instrument. I’ve found my sense of rhythm as a drummer to come in handy, especially when filming anything set to music.

It’s such a privileged position to be trusted in executing the vision of the Cinematographer and Director, and it comes with great responsibility. I’ve found it valuable to adopt the mindset of training like it’s your sport, practising like it’s your musical instrument, and remembering that above that technical foundation, the most important thing is to be a good team player with a collaborative spirit.

I also occasionally work as a DP on documentaries. I’m just about to start on my 3rd series of ‘Jules and Greg’s Wild Swim’ with @solusprod . I always make sure to get in the water with them as that’s where we get all the best stories from contributors!

I feel so lucky this job has taken me to many incredible places, from sunny Hebridean beaches to snow covered cityscapes of Oslo. From the back of a tracking vehicle shooting redcoats on horseback, to choreographing a oner on the stage of the Moulin Rouge in Paris! The variety in this job is amazing. But above all, my favourite thing about it is the people. From all walks of life and each with their own unique story to tell, that’s what really makes it all worthwhile.

When I’m not on set, you’ll generally find me outside, either hiking, running or on my road bike. It goes without saying that operating is a physical job, so keeping active is super important. Oh, and remember to look after your back!

It was a story about pain… and silence.

Pain grows in the dark.
