Today on META MOTO PODCASTS we have maneta. Édi (he/him) is a Portuguese-born, Berlin-based DJ who has focused the last 8 years on severe crate digging. Spinning only on vinyl, maneta is a devoted pitch rider and genre blender. From Progressive House to EBM to 00s Electro, maneta has been sending soundwaves across several cities such as Berlin, Brussels, and lately, Seoul and Tokyo.
Also a party curator, he is the co-founder of Stecker, a vinyl-focused collective throwing parties in Berlin that aims to spotlight vinyl activists.
This mix is a sequence-driven journey. Edgy, dark, and sexy, that’s the core tension maneta plays with. A Belgian déjà vu with Electro glamour.

maneta is a Portuguese-born DJ and producer. Spinning mainly on vinyl, his sound spans from ‘90s-inspired Progressive House to darker roots reminiscent of EBM & New Beat, always carrying a seductive and driving edge. He is the co-founder of the @stecker.berlin party series — a vinyl-focused collective that aims to bring wax lovers into the spotlight, with friendly and inclusive dancefloors.

About the mix:

“This is a vinyl-only mix crafted from my own collection, spanning from fresh tunes to dusted-off vinyl gems. It’s the first time I put together a mix like this one - a backwards journey from today’s Trance to 90s Proggy and Goa-like sounds with squelchy sequences as the main character. These raw, driving, slightly lo-fi old tunes barely carry any nostalgia as they have aged like fine wine. Enjoy xx”

Maneta, a Portuguese-born DJ and producer based in Berlin, showcases the influence of his Stecker collective in shaping his vinyl-only sets over the past year.
Blending old, dusty records with fresh tunes—including two of his own unreleased productions—this vinyl mix carries a progressive energy with a dark but seductive edge, thriving on bold acid lines and a ‚90s feel.
