DAMN WHAT A RIDE🖤
@ouch_berlin at @ohmberlin was one for the books

Still in complete awe of how this night unfolded. I had the best time playing live for that hot dancefloor, and the warmth you gave me in return was beyond anything I could have imagined

Thank you for making this one so special!

Lots of love and see you in the chaos ♾️

KEEP AN EYE AWARDS
Laureates of 2026

Last week the jury of the Keep an Eye Awards selected these 3 projects to develop their work:
Fred Rush – Tiz Grand
A tight wire and glass walking performance which surrounds the topic of masking our emotions.
Julia Tanner* – The Living Room
“The living room” is a theatrical aerial circus performance with a strong visual and dramaturgical focus. Concept of performative rigging, in which objects come to life.
Tara Lovise Kvarving – Welcome to the Machine
Tara creates a symbiosis with “the machine” (the box) which demonstrates a refined insight. "Machines have no heart, just like the heartlessness of gray concrete walls, yet we see these concrete walls as a part of home, and familiarity."

The trajectory for development of the creation, starts from today on: shifting from school to professional workfield and experiencing all productional and financial processes of such a journey, aiming on the presentations at Festival Circolo in September

AND TODAY WE HAVE THE LABDAY: EXCHANGE EXPERIENCES, SHARING SCARY POTENTIAL DECISION MAKING, PLANNING THE TRAJECTORY AND CREATION PROCES.

FITNESS by @houseofcircus

Anna Fentrop - RuhrFestSpiele

"We selected Fitness by House of Circus as the closing performance of our festival, and it proved to be a powerful and joyful finale. Created and performed by the outstanding drag artists Nick and Germaine , the show combines high-energy movement, humor, and theatrical playfulness into a vibrant eyperience. With its tongue-in-cheek Take on fitness culture, "Fitness" challenges normative ideas of bodies and discipline, celebrating self-expression, body positivity, and confidence. The way the performance invites the audience to participate transforms these ideas into a shared, lived experience. Ending the festival dancing together felt liberating and warm. A collective moment of joy and connection we will remember.”

Stephan Bikker - Festival Circolo

"With Fitness, House of Circus succeeds in getting everyone moving, regardless of ability or body type. It’s practically impossible to sit still when the ladies encourage you to a straight-up karate punch to toxic body standards. Before you know it, you’re sweating it out in a crowd of a hundred people to an 80s anthem. The message is simple, effective, and as vital as ever: Be who you want to be. In Fitness, this translates to a feel-good party layered with humor, positivity, and a high-octane color palette. The track and the dance moves will be stuck in your head for weeks."

𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 — 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝗶𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 🐦

This August we performed where the last birds stand at Festival Boulevard, on the Torenpodium in Den Bosch. 💫
Two bodies navigating a world on the edge, holding, resisting, letting go.

A duet about farewell, grief and the pain of change, inspired by Stéphanie Roland’s installation Science Fiction Postcards and Carel Willink’s ‘De Maraboes’ from Museum Arnhem🌊

Thank you to everyone who joined us under the fading summer light, and to Festival Boulevard for this unforgettable stage. 💛
