Not every garden reveals itself all at once.

This one unfolds gradually, from the entrance, through a series of terraces and planted moments, beneath steel arches that will eventually disappear beneath climbing plants, before opening into a quiet green space.

A month ago, we shared this project mid-construction. Today, we are sharing the completed garden, one that will continue to settle, soften and grow into each element over time.

It is a reminder that a garden is not only about planting. It is also about movement, rhythm and the pleasure of discovering a space, rather than simply arriving.

‘WHAT NELSON SEES’ 🔭

‘What Nelson Sees’, in collaboration with @googleartsculture, took over Trafalgar Square during September 2025 for London Design Festival.

“The weathered texture of the metal is intentional, a reference to Britain’s maritime past, to the docks, the Thames, and the time when London’s industrial power was booming.”.

Brought to life with Flow, @Google’s AI filmmaking tool powered by Veo, viewers are invited to peer through portals to see vignettes of London’s evolution across a century.

Balancing every detail - from complex fabrication and seamless media integration through to the refined finish; @steelandform brought this concept to life.

Some of the making pictures of the latest project at @steelandform

Creating these tight radius, sloped returns on this decorative profiled flat bar was a bit of a challenge and pretty time consuming. But was super happy with the finish.
