Is Throwback Tuesday a thing? Featured is the original QCKC Dojo Kun, which is still in use to this day (it even outlived its replacement). Painted by one of our artists, Mr. John Walcott.

We had a brief interview with John, who expressed the honor and privilege of being asked to give back to the club in this way. He recalled taking his time to get the font right. Thanks, John! This is us. This is QCKC.

Who can you pick out from this picture?
And can you guess the year?

A Piece of Our Past -The Bold and the Beautiful in Barbados
Between April 18 to May 14, 1996, the popular day time soap opera @boldandbeautifulcbs filmed an episode in @beautiful.barbados to the joy of many Bajans.
While playboy Ridge wined, dined Lauren and secretly booked the honeymoon suite at Sam Lord's Castle, Brook was wandering around the island semi distraught
Brook had ran away from Ridge who was on the island looking for her. Brook was found in the iconic pink 'bath' on the rocks at Bathsheba which was transformed into a nice dwelling.
Notably local actors played a crucial role when the soap opera was here.
The late Wendell Smith played the Concierge at Sam Lord's Casted
Popular Attorney-at-law Andrew Pilgrim SC played a police officer investigating the food robberies committed by Brooke.
Local Fine Artist John Walcott was the the restaurant which Brooke told food from.
The MerryMen's song. 'Beautiful Barbados' and Red Plastic Bag's Ragga Ragga were also featured in the episode

#MoveitupMonday ( swipe to see more).
The entry to the earth toned former Almond Beach Club's spa 2006.
On this project, I worked with a number of local artists and artisans. The #venetian plastered walls were done by a husband and wife team who specializes in faux finishes and #trompeloeils. The custom metal #seafan staircase by an amazing blacksmith artist John Burgess.
The 6 ft painting on the wall by multi talented artist, actor, teacher John Walcott @steeld37.
This collaboration was a labour of love, sweat and tears. 🏝🏝
