I walked into Forest and Ash in Exeter, NH, and immediately wanted them to come design my entire house. 😂🤍 The shop is filled with so many beautiful finds, including some of my favorite brands like @sarafitzstudio, @steelecanvas, @farm_sea ! And yes, they offer design services, so that dream could actually become a reality. If you’re wandering around Exeter, make time to pop in… just prepare to want everything. And save this for holiday shopping! They have the BEST gifts! @forestandashshop

I may have expensive taste, but I also have a very serious commitment to finding a good deal. 😂 We’re building our custom home, and I’m learning that knowing WHERE to spend your money is just as important as knowing where to save it. Some things we’re prioritizing during construction. Some things can wait. And some things I’m absolutely going to hunt down secondhand. Like the brand-new $300 light fixture I found for $30. I will never shut up about that one. If you’ve built a house, what’s something you’re SO glad you saved money on? I’m taking notes. 👀 Follow along for our custom home build, design decisions, and all the deals I manage to find along the way! custom home build | building a custom home | new construction | home building budget | saving money building a house | custom home design | Habitat ReStore | affordable lighting | secondhand furniture | thrifted home decor | home building tips | budget-friendly home design
