Hope everyone’s good and getting into cosy season, which also means red wine and party season 😏 Once again this week, we will just be open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings, bringing you the following events … THURS 10th (6-9pm) Steel Frequencies Steel Frequencies are back at Grub for three hours of deep, dark, and heavy sounds, spotlighting some of Sheffield’s local dubstep talent alongside a fresh sound for Steel Frequencies with T-Dub bringing a 2-step and dark UKG set to close things out. Expect wubs, garage, 2-step, and vibes all night. FRI 11th (open from 6pm // 8pm - 2am) Side5tep After the fun they had at their last Grub party, Side5step are back, this time with local faves and Side5tep fam Sleepsang and Hames joining Holon to set the vibe for the night. Sleepsang will kick things off with dusty ambient rhythms before they move onto deep soulful blends and groovy club beats from Hames and Holon. SAT 12th (open from 6pm // 9pm - midnight) RSI Wrist breakers, trance, speed garage, tunes to put a smile on your face and a splint on your wrist! Twinkle Toad of Salt Fat Acid Heat will kick things off with her unique blend of acid and beyond - all things that make a frog house a frog home. Residents Frog Walk and Eklego (aka Frog Lego) will bring the squelch, the synth, and the speed garage in a 2hr set to see out your summer. Finally, Bassfreight’s Pingoo will bring us into land with some rolling heat and a serious dedication to a good time. As Hagglers are charging from the earlier time of 7pm, ask for a free wristband if you’re coming to Grub! See you soon, Team Grub x 📸 2 by @lotty_shots

Hope you’re all doing well and prepared for heatwave round two! 🌞 Heads up that due to understaffing we will unfortunately be closed again this Wednesday evening and Saturday daytime (until 6pm); that does however give you plenty of time to enjoy the sunshine before paying us a visit. We have loads of new records on the shelves (more info coming soon!) and plenty of chilled wines to keep you nice and cool. And here’s what we’ve got programmed - THURS 9th Steel Frequencies presents Uncork the Bass (6-9pm) Steel Frequencies returns for another night of strictly vinyl multi-genre selections from some of Sheffield’s finest wax selectors. Expanding beyond their usual dubstep roots, this edition welcomes DJs from across a range of genres, bringing a fresh sound and style while keeping the focus on quality records and heavyweight selections. Expect an eclectic journey through dubstep, dub, 4x4, speed garage, and techno. FRI 10th Sound Service Station (8pm - midnight) Expect deep, warm, grooving, funky bass riffs and syncopated rhythms spanning jazz, disco, Latin, and funk for a Friday night that feels like it’s on a hot hot terrace with a lil spritz in hand. Plus it’s Linga Sound’s birthday so there may well be cake and/or party bags 🍰🥂 SAT 11th Dub at Grub (8pm - midnight) Dub at Grub is a brand new night, bringing an array of talented DJs together all under the same roof for a night of dub, reggae, ska, and rocksteady tunes. On the line-up for this inaugural event we have legends such as Ray Macdonald and Vicki Ranyard with ska and soul classics, as well as special guest and talented emerging DJ Leon Webb travelling all the way from London for the event. Headlining we have TJR spinning reggae through to the early hours. See you soon, Team Grub xx

Hi all, Hope everyone enjoyed the brief good weather while it lasted! We’ve got a big Record Store Day 2026 announcement coming very soon, but for now here’s what we’ve got lined up at Grub this week… THURS 26th Steel Frequencies presents Uncork the Bass (6 - 10pm) Steel Frequencies is a new event in the steel city delivering a deep, atmospheric dubstep experience, built on local talent and sound-system pressure. Expect an immersive evening session of low basslines to get you moving. Pour a glass, settle in, and lock into the frequencies. FRI 27th Grub Live (8:30pm - midnight) We are thrilled to be hosting our first live performance in Grub as local electronic act Curtain Twitcher perform music from their new album ‘Leap The Dips’. Curtain Twitcher could only have emerged from Sheffield: a female electronic duo whose corrupted downtempo post Balearic chug pulses and wobbles, throbs and twitches - full of fat noises and bolshy Moogery. The duo recently released their debut album, recorded round the corner from the shop in Meersbrook, and we absolutely love it and are very excited to see some music from it performed live here. The duo will be performing at the start of the evening, from 8:30 - 9:30pm, before two excellent DJs in KOHL and Porter Brook take over til closing time with eclectic selections of pumping electronic music. SAT 28th Dani’s Bday (open to all from 8pm!) We’re hosting our pal Dani for her birthday, and this’ll be just what you’d expect from a birthday party at Grub: great vibes, high energy, and fun tunes throughout. All welcome! Thank you so much, Team Grub x
