This is my Amma. She was Icelandic and left her family when she chose to marry her husband and move to the US to start her own life and family. She was an incredible painter, a beautician by trade, a world traveler, she spoke multiple languages, loved going on a cruise, lived in Hawaii for the majority of her life, was an avid tennis player, and always spoke about how much she loved Iceland and missed her family back home.

She lived a full and beautiful life and I’m so thankful I got to be her granddaughter. I’m heartbroken she’s gone…the last of my grandparents. But I’m so thankful for the rich times we had together and I’m relieved she’s finally at peace and isn’t suffering anymore. 😣😔😭💔

Amma, I love you and hope you rest in peace, sweet Lilla. I am so grateful that you were my grandmother and I am so happy that I was your granddaughter.😘💕🥰

Þetta var amma mín. Hún var íslensk og yfirgaf fjölskyldu sína þegar hún ákvað að giftast eiginmanni sínum og flytja til Bandaríkjanna til að hefja eigið líf og fjölskyldu. Hún var ótrúleg listmálari, snyrtifræðingur að mennt, heimsreisandi, talaði mörg tungumál, elskaði að fara í skemmtiferðaskip, bjó á Hawaii stærstan hluta ævi sinnar, var ákafur tennisleikari og talaði alltaf um hversu mikið hún elskaði Ísland og saknaði fjölskyldu sinnar heima.

Hún lifði innihaldsríku og fallegu lífi og ég er svo þakklát fyrir að hafa fengið að vera barnabarn hennar. Ég er miður mín að hún sé farin ... síðasta afi minn og ömmu. En ég er svo þakklát fyrir þær góðu stundir sem við áttum saman og ég er létt að hún hafi loksins fundið frið og þjáist ekki lengur. 😣😔😭💔

Amma, ég elska þig og vona að þú hvílir í friði, elsku Lilla. Ég er svo þakklát fyrir að þú varst amma mín og ég er svo glöð að ég var barnabarn þitt.

Proud of myself for finishing another script. This one I’ve been talking about for a while and I finally put my butt in a chair and nailed it out.

A Tennessee Christmas is everything you need in a love story. It’s heartfelt, funny, has depth, and even some unexpected drama, it’s set in the south around Christmastime and yes, it even has fabulous music to boot. Now I’m onto edits because this chica is generally a liiittttllleee long winded 😬🤷🏼‍♀️

And side note, I’m proud of Ab and I for officially starting our company this year…Living Stones Pictures 🎥 But more on that later….😏

I got to do a little ADR today @digitalaudiopost for my latest acting gig. Shattered doesn’t begin to describe how I’m feeling 😣💔😭

For those of you who don't know this beautiful soul, she has been a part of our family since I was two years old. Mary lived with us and was our nanny during eight of the most formative years of my life. She was like a second mom to me and my siblings. My mom had four young children under the age of five and needed an extra set of hands to help out while my dad was away playing ball. Mary was those hands.

She brought SO much goodness and warmth and stability and imagination and creativity and laughter and love to our lives. She hands down gave the BEST back scratches. She would encourage us to use our imaginations - and so we would dress up and put on plays constantly!! This is where my love of storytelling stemmed from. If we fell down and needed to go to the hospital, she'd rush us right there. She taught me the art of writing a good old fashioned letter, which I still do to this day. She would sit for hours, braiding our hair into the cutest little braid crowns you ever did see. I still rock a braid but never could figure out how to do a crown on myself. She taught me to love books and reading and stories. She taught me how to crochet. My love of tea came from Mary introducing it to me - how very British of her. 😉 When we missed our parents, she would hold us and rock us to sleep.

I love Mary. Always have. Always will. She was woven into the very fabric of my being since the beginning and this loss is profound. I’m heartbroken. I hate cancer SO MUCH. 66 is too young. Grief is sometimes too great to hold. Abba, come quick and bring your comfort and peace. I need it. We need it. We need you. I need you.

Mary, it’s only been two days and I miss you. 😣💔😔 Thank you for the lessons you taught me, the wisdom and love you always so freely gave and for profoundly impacting the whole of my life. I love you, Mayo.😭

When you head to bed tonight and if you remember to, please lift a prayer up for Mary’s husband Kai and their kids Francis, Sophie and Toby and the rest of her family as we all grieve this great loss.

Got to visit @harpethmoonfarm this past week with the crew from @rolfanddaughters and I feel so grateful to meet the people that grow the food we put on the tables night after night. To put faces with the names of our farms really personalizes everything and I love being able to support them and what they’re doing. It’s good stuff! Check them out and keep your eyes open for @harpethmoonfarm when you’re at a farmers market getting all the yummy things. Also, the shadowed video….am I giving Mary Poppins vibes or what!?!
