"Instruments of Connection" is a graduate collection from London College of Fashion's BA Womenswear course. Rooted in the designer's hometown in the North of the UK, the project explores the relationship between nature and industrial heritage, where dense greenery exists alongside factory landscapes. Inspired by the designer's father's youth in marching bands, the collection reflects on collective effervescence and the ways community, movement, and ritual shape our connection to each other and the environment. Sliced pattern cutting, manipulated volume, and macramé techniques referencing women wire weavers translate these ideas into garments that balance workwear influences with organic textures and movement.
