There are some goodbyes your heart is never quite ready for. 🤍

As Luna gets ready to begin her freshman year at Loyola, I’m feeling all the emotions. I am so incredibly proud of the young woman she has become and so excited for everything waiting for her—but saying goodbye to this chapter of having her home is so bittersweet.

It feels like just yesterday I was holding her hand, walking her into a new classroom, and now I’m watching her step into an entirely new life of her own. 🥹

Luna, go make memories. Take chances. Meet new people. Learn everything you can. Laugh until your stomach hurts. Call your mom. 🤍 And when things feel hard, remember exactly who you are and how deeply you are loved.

Home will always be home, and I will always be right here cheering you on.
