ℋ𝒶𝓅𝓅𝓎 ℳ𝑜𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓇’𝓈 𝒟𝒶𝓎 from #LupusChat! 💜🌸

Today we’re holding space for every kind of mothering. The seen, the unseen, the celebrated, and the complicated.

We honor:

✨ Moms living with lupus who keep showing up through pain and fatigue

✨ Mothers raising a child with lupus

✨ Stepmoms, bonus moms, aunties, grandmas, and chosen mothers

✨ Eldest daughters who had to become “the other parent” way too soon

✨ Women with lupus who wanted children but couldn’t

✨ Mothers grieving children they’ve lost

✨ And anyone who nurtures, protects, and loves in a way that feels like motherhood
If today is joyful, heavy, bittersweet, or all of the above… you are not alone.

We see you. We honor you. We’re celebrating you. 💜

Today is World Lupus Day! 💜🌍

Lupus is often called an “invisible illness,” but the impact is very real and far too misunderstood. Today we’re raising awareness, honoring every warrior, and reminding the world that lupus deserves attention, research, and compassion.

Here are a few lupus facts you may not hear often:

🟣 Lupus can affect virtually any organ, including the brain, kidneys, lungs, heart, and skin, not just joints.

🟣 Symptoms can change day to day, which is why many people describe lupus as unpredictable and exhausting.

🟣 It can take years to be diagnosed, because lupus can mimic other conditions and may come and go.

🟣 Men can get lupus too, and often face delayed diagnosis due to misconceptions.

🟣 Sunlight and fluorescent lighting can trigger flares for some people, making everyday environments harder to navigate.
Lupus doesn’t “look” one way. And living with it takes strength that most people will never fully understand.

💜 If you’re reading this and you live with lupus: we see you.

💜 If you love someone with lupus: thank you for showing up.

💜 If you’re learning today: keep going.

📢 Help us spread awareness! Share this post, tag a friend, and drop a 💜 in the comments if lupus has touched your life.
