Dear Signal Mountain Theatre,

It’s so hard to put into words what this theatre department has meant to me, because it was never just about the shows… it was always about the people.

From the very beginning, you all made this place feel like somewhere I belonged. Whether it was laughing way too loud backstage and getting yelled at by Farrimond, leaving class to sit in the theatre, or annoying the Sonic workers after every show, those are the moments I’m going to miss the most. You turned long rehearsals into something I looked forward to, and somehow made even the most stressful tech weeks feel worth it.

To the people I worked with onstage thank you for being more than just people I shared a stage with. You were my support system, and some of the funniest, most genuine people I’ve ever met. Every salute the sun, every pep talk before going on stage, every hug after a show, and every blood makes the grass grow I will carry with me long after I leave.

And to everyone in this department, no matter how big or small your role felt just know that you matter. You helped create something so much bigger than any one person or performance. You made this space feel like a family, and that’s something I’ll never forget.

Leaving this behind is honestly one of the hardest things I’ve had to do, because it means saying goodbye to people who changed me for the better. But I know that no matter where we all end up, a part of me will always belong here, with you.
