Pursuing my passion for live band photography. I'm an optimist, mostly, "so don't stand beneath my blue sky & come pray for rain." #keephopekeepheart

After a war that destroyed my mind

“If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it’s probably a duck. That’s the philosophy that underpins GRIFT’s lyrics, and it’s what makes them so striking,” writes @doomed_oracle.

The punk roots of hardcore are evident in @grift.hxc: in their lyricism, sound, and even performance style. At the link in our bio, Emo Night founder Cassandra Roxburgh (@doomed_oracle) sits down with Zulian Joubert and Will Wright of @grift.hxc to talk about bringing hardcore back to its punk roots, ‘Hate City’, SA’s underground music renaissance, and forming a band during the crypto/NFT crash.

We’re lucky and grateful to have @grift.hxc play with us in JHB on Saturday 2 May at @good_omens_melville! Tickets are in our bio, if, like us, you just can’t bear to miss them 🎟️
