Had an eventful day yesterday at Propell Air!

A routine training flight ended up in a cow pasture after the engine started running rough. CFI Stennett and student William handled the situation flawlessly, electing to land at this large, suitable field instead of continuing the flight. After declaring an emergency, they executed a beautiful soft-field landing with no harm to themselves or the plane.

After further inspection, it became apparent that a rocker arm on one of the cylinders had become loose, allowing for a simple fix. Our all-star mechanics were on it, along with the FAA inspectors, and the Cessna was back in service in no time.

After mowing and smoothing out a makeshift runway, the plane was back in the sky!

We’d like to offer our deepest gratitude to the Air Traffic Controllers, first responders, mechanics, FAA, and everyone who lent a hand.
