I Spent Years Giving Others a Voice While Struggling to Find My Own.

Looking at these photos, I find myself reflecting on a journey that has been as much about personal growth as building Bronx Fashion Week.

When I founded Bronx Fashion Week, I stayed behind the scenes, creating opportunities, uplifting others, and building a platform rooted in diversity, inclusivity, and representation.

Yet, while I was creating space for others to be seen, I was afraid to be seen myself.

I struggled with insecurities, questioned whether my voice mattered, and often underestimated my own contributions.

Through the mentorship of incredible Bronx leaders who believed in me (and they know who they are ❤️), and nine months of intensive leadership development through Coro New York, alongside 48 extraordinary NYC leaders, something shifted.

I found my voice. And more importantly, I found the courage to use it.

I learned that humility doesn’t mean silence, leadership doesn’t require permission, and uplifting others should never mean diminishing yourself.

Today, I no longer apologize for taking up space or acknowledging the work I’ve poured my heart into building.

I know what I bring to the table because I’ve spent years building tables where others could belong.

I will never again allow anyone to silence my voice, diminish my worth, or underestimate my contributions.

Looking at these photos, I see more than the founder of Bronx Fashion Week.

I see a woman who finally gave herself permission to be seen.

To every leader who spends their life championing others while questioning their own worth: Your voice matters, too. Don’t lose yourself while creating opportunities for others.

Some people bring energy to a stage, and others bring heart. Peter Gunz brought both.

Peter, thank you for being such a special part of Cultura & Couture 2026. Your warmth, humor, and genuine love for the Bronx made the evening even more meaningful.

What means the most is that you showed up for our community with so much love and sincerity. You celebrated our designers, encouraged our talent, and reminded us what it means to support one another.

From my heart, thank you. We are truly grateful for you! ❤️

A brother’s love doesn’t change not with time, not with distance, not with the seasons of life. It’s a bond written into our very beginnings, one that remembers exactly where we came from.

Maybe that’s why their first reunion reel touched so many hearts, going viral and reaching more than 3 million views. People didn’t just see a reunion—they felt the love, the history, and a bond that time and distance could never erase.

A brother’s love stands beside us through every version of who we become, and it remains, quietly and always, long after everything else has changed.

Legacy has become so personal to me. It’s not about how many events I create or how big a company becomes. It’s about what I leave behind, the doors I open, the lives I touch, and knowing that something I started will continue long after me.

Everything I’ve built has always been about something bigger than me. ❤️

Purpose. Impact. Legacy.

And there is still so much more to come.

Fashion Redefined is creating powerful moments of growth, confidence, and transformation. 🖤

They say it takes a village and this journey is proof. Every mentor, creative, artist, and leader who has poured their time, talent, and heart into our young people is helping them build confidence, unlock their creativity, and discover the greatness that already lives within them.

Fashion Redefined is about so much more than fashion. It’s about healing. Leadership. Self-expression. Opportunity. It’s about empowering the next generation to believe in themselves and redefine what’s possible.

A heartfelt thank you to the Center for Justice Innovation for believing in our vision and partnering with Bronx Fashion NYC to create a space where young people can grow, lead, and thrive.

Together, we’re doing more than changing lives we’re building futures.
