Turns out, specificity is the point. 🏆
Crossing the Desert has won Best LGBTQ+ Short Film at the @ladyfilmmakers Festival, our film’s first festival award.

This film was built around a story that refuses to simplify identity, family, queerness, culture, or the complicated ways we communicate with the people we love. Seeing that specificity recognized means everything.

Here’s to making work that knows exactly what it wants to say and trusting there’s an audience ready to hear it.
Congratulations to the entire Crossing the Desert team. Our first one feels pretty damn good.
