Summer 2026… thank you.

There aren’t enough words to describe my gratitude. Very few know how meaningful this summer was to me and why. Let’s just say this was one for the books for multiple reasons y solo Dios sabe cuánto lo necesitaba. It’s impossible for me to add a picture or snippet of every week, but know that every single week had a story.
To my family and friends, thank you for making this the best summer of my life 💛

We’re back friends ✨ Summer Series 2026, episode 7. I took a few weeks off but the list never stopped growing.

This one is a milestone. Latin Reflections celebrated 25 years with their La Conexión Social in Sunset Park, and you can feel every one of those years in the room. Abuelos, first timers, veteranos. All on the same floor.

Safe, fun, and full of great dances? Check, check, and check. Twenty five years does not happen by accident. That is Mike and Tania @tinytvm building something real in Brooklyn, one generation at a time.

In this PSA, we discuss how some leaders often ask follows to dance, and then proceed to teach them without asking. This can be seen as a negative experience, or unenjoyable for the partner, because they wanted to dance and not be told how to dance.

However, it is acceptable if both leader and follower consent to educational dancing to learn or practice new moves on the dance floor, but it should never be “You’re doing it wrong” or “You shouldn’t be social dancing!”

Alright leaders, this is an actual representation of the conversation that goes on at the sidelines on the dance floor! When you’re a good lead, you get praise, rumors of your skills spreads, and you’re put on the good list. Most of the time it’s not all about how good you are, but how kind and respectful you are!

When you’re a bad lead which involves not protecting your partner on the dance floor, is rude, and acts like a teacher every time you dance with someone when you yourself aren’t good…rumors of that spread as well.

So remember, dance to have fun, but most of all dance with grace. It’s not a competition, dancing is a conversation, not a debate.

I want to give a shout out to @rociodeleonpr and Tati (@_daintydisco @tatianabyheart ) for bringing their A Game! I always love working with these two and it makes filming so much fun! So please show them some love and LIKE, SHARE & REPOST this video ❤️
