It’s been all about re-vamping dreadlock styles in the studio lately. These dreadlocks are ?? years old, @steph_sutton72 is one of my OG clients 😍

She’s been growing out her undercut to have some new dreads added and couldn’t wait anymore! This is a fiddly tricky job, trying to securely attach new hair to less than 1cm of natural dreadlock.

But I use loose hair to create a secure join and make the extension as I go - no adding on a pre-made extension to this tiny amount of hair.

Steph has strict care instructions and I’ll see her again in January for maintenance and a check over of this joins. A super fun job!

If you’re curious about having dreadlocks yourself, book a consultation via my website amiwatkins.com ✨✨

A satisfying tidy up and catch up with my gorgeous @steph_sutton72 yesterday 💗💗 These dreads are 4 years old now and we have had many many lovely days together. The beautiful thing about my work is that it feels like I am catching up with friends everyday! I appreciate my colourful, creative and super honest Steph so much 💗

I have been repairing and strengthening these dreads with this bold plum/pink extension hair - Steph loves the randomness of the colour especially as she often wears it up in amazing buns so the flash of colour is awesome. Her own dye has faded a lot so they could either be refreshed or I may use more hair on the mid sections. 💗💗

Do your dreads need some love, a creative overhaul or just a good sort out?? Pop me a message and let’s get you booked in ✨✨
