I have been reflecting a lot on 2024 over the past few weeks. 2024 came with a lot of tears, uncertainty, and lows.

However, when I look through photos of the year, I can’t help but feel grateful because 2024 also held incredibly beautiful moments. In the spirit of gratitude, here are a few highlights from 2024 (even though I am late to the game):

This year I saw my little sister get married in her yellow dress. She was beautiful and it was an honour to stand with her. Alissa is strong and fiercely caring and Deklin truly amplifies that in her.

This year I got to officiate and stand in the wedding of one of my closest friends, Taylor. Taylor brings colour and joy into my life and her wedding was nothing but colour, joy, and love.

This year I watched one of the most influential people in my life get married. Jon and Bernine are truly the best match.

This year I was so blessed by my family. Traveling with the Sinanans was one of the best experiences of my life. Erika’s baby shower reminded me how lucky I am to have her as an older sister. Rory won the lottery with Erika and David as parents. So did Ben and Jack as Dina and Ryan now chase around two boys. Crashing trains and reading with Jack in 2024 was a joy - and now I have triple the reason to be joyful.

Indi is one of the most kind, bubly, and loving kids I know - which is no surprise, she is a Knowler. I loved seeing her in 2024. I am grateful to be her godmother.

When I look at the friends who stood by me in 2024, I realize I am richly blessed. To the ones pictured here and many who aren’t - I love you and I am thankful beyond words for the phone calls, trips, movies, dinners, hang outs, texts, and time spent with you.

This year I worked with some of the best musicians, singers, leaders, and youth I know. My students reminded me to have faith and love unconditionally. The leaders reminded me of the beauty in sacrifice.

Micaiah. My love - all I have is gratitude this year and every year.

Finally, I am grateful how I learned to make space this year for my weakness, to grow, and to learn. I am grateful for a God who is steadfast and faithful always.

Thanks 2024. Thanks to the people I love.

Our friends threw us a surprise wedding celebration a couple weeks ago and we could not feel more loved.

We were not able to have our whole wedding party or even all of our parents at our covid wedding so this celebration was so special. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard on this surprise for us. Micaiah and I truly feel like we are blessed with the most amazing community.

Extra huge shout out to @npacchiano and the Pacchiano fam for making this happen at your home. You are incredible.

Swipe to the end for some real confusion from me. Love you all and thank you for flying and driving in, putting in so much effort, and caring for us so well. Also shout out for quickly scrambling to fix everything in the face of a huge dump of rain.
